Art therapy - Art therapy is based on the belief that the creative process involved in the making of art is healing and life-enhancing. Through creating art and talking about art and the process of art making with a therapist, one can increase awareness of self, cope with symptoms, stress, and traumatic experiences, enhance cognitive abilities, and enjoy the life-affirming pleasures of artistic creativity.

Sandplay Therapy - Sandplay is an alternative to 'talk' therapy, and is used a communication tool. Available for this process are an extensive collection of miniature objects, sand and water. The client has the opportunity to create a scene or picture, which can facilitate resolution of conflict or can promote awareness of unconscious processes. Otherwise, the client is invited to create a world in the tray by making patterns in the sand or by placing objects into the sand tray in any configuration that feels right.

Divorce and Custody Mediation - I provide psychotherapy and mediation-type services to couples who are (or are considering) separating or divorcing. These services may be useful to any such couple, but especially to those couples with children. So much damage can be unwittingly done to children at this time - and most of it can be prevented pretty easily with some education and help in negotiating the issues that inevitably arise.
